El cuarto día / Day Four
“¡Pensé que la escuela ya había terminado!” – Larry Holmes
“I Thought School Was Over!” – Larry Holmes
Today we woke up at seven thirty. We went to breakfast feeling very tired but we all ate a large breakfast. We then went to the Centro Bilingüe a block away from the hotel for our first day of classes. We met and greeted our teachers and were put into two different groups. After class had finished, we ate a small snack of quesadillas. After we were done, we got into a car, drove to the orphanage, and played basketball and soccer with the kids who were there. We returned to Casa Carmen at two thirty for lunch. However, at four, we returned to the orphanage, but this time we helped out doing chores, such as sanding chairs and painting tables. We then ate dinner at Las Musas restaurant and in the evening we went to the park with our new friends Carlo and Angelo, sons of the owners of the restaurant.
