Quinto día en Mexico / Day Five in Mexico

Day Five in Mexico:

Today we started with another delicious breakfast from the Casa Carmen crew. We had a selection of eggs, bacon, omelets, French toast and many more other great selections. We followed this by going to school where we had the pleasure of watching the Mexico-Uruguay World Cup match. We stopped watching the game in order to take a trip to the Mexican tianguis (market) where we caught a glimpse of Mexican culture. Many people found some stuff they would have liked to buy but were unable because they had no money. Later we were able to exchange some of our money for pesos which gave us an opportunity to purchase gifts and souvenirs at a nearby Converse store. Following that, we were given a chance to show off our soccer capabilities against the AC Milan Junior squad. Everyone played well. We then enjoyed a Mexican dinner composed of rice and a steak, la milanesa. After that, we went to home to watch Larry and Nico dominate in cards. It was another fantastic day in San Miguel de Allende.

  1. Hola chicos!

It sounds like you are having a great summer. Mention how the weather is there, as it is unbrearably hot here - high 90's.

Is the town gettting ready for the Mexico v. Argentina game?

    TTYL,

    Ms. H.
